Getting to Isère

The department of Isère is in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. With regular flights from the UK to Grenoble, trains via Paris, short bus transfers to resorts and an extensive motorway network, you can be on the slopes before you know it.

GETTING TO ISÈRE

By train

From the UK, Eurostar trains connect via Paris to Grenoble. Check here for times and dates.

Other nearby stations include Grenoble, Saint-Marcel-lès-Valence and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (50 minutes from Grenoble) Lyon Part-Dieu (1 hr 15 mins).

Transfer from the station

In winter, on arriving at Grenoble station, you can travel onto resorts with Transaltitude (see below), departing from Grenoble bus station next to the train station.

Shuttle buses

Actibus

"Navette Grenoble Aéroport" is a bus service between Grenoble Alpes Isère (GNB) and Grenoble bus/train station.
Schedules coincide with flight arrivals and departures. The journey takes 45 minutes. Tickets must be bought in advance.

Transaltitude

Buses to the following resorts depart from the bus station next to Grenoble train station you'll need to take one of the shutte buses above. Tickets cost around 60 € for a family and 18 € per person, one way. Book online.

By car

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is the region in France with the most extensive motorway network, making Isère easy to reach. Travelling to Isère from the UK takes between 8 and 10 jours from Calais.
