Stopover in Oisans

General presentation:
The appearance of the village has changed little over the past century. The inhabitants of yesteryear, whether pedlars, craftspeople or mountain peasants, have left a permanent trace. Their successors now offer a warm welcome and will help you to enjoy the laid-back feel of this unusual village.
If you're seeking sporting thrills or just wanting to enjoy the scenery, whether mountain bikers, paragliders, horseriders or hikers, Besse en Oisans is the start point for wonderful walks or longer mid- or high-altitude hikes. You can also take advantage of the sports facilities in neighbouring resorts, including Alpe d'Huez, les Deux Alpes, Auris en Oisans and La Grave.
Composition:
The house comprises a kitchen and lovely dining room, where breakfasts and dinners (plus lunches on request) are served. Guests can also use the living room upstairs to listen to music, read, play boardgames or watch TV. The bedrooms have twin or double beds (Leo bedroom: 160×200, Les Charennes bedroom: twin beds 90×200), a flatscreen TV, wardrobe with hangers and two shelves, private bathroom with WC, towel dryer, hairdryer and shower.
Extras provided by the B&B include a massage service on request and clothes washing (wash, dry and iron for €15). In winter, it also offers skiing vouchers with savings of around 50%.
Outside:
In fine weather, guests can also enjoy a small terrace with a wooden picnic table and barbecue for use free of charge. We also have a garden where we grow our own lettuces and other vegetables. The village children's playground and boules pitch are locates closeby. We have a lock-up garage in the car park at the entrance to the village, where we can occasionally store bikes, skis, etc.
Catering:
We offer family-style cooking, featuring regional dishes, as well as lighter meals so our guests don't put on too much weight. Local dishes are delicious, but you don't necessarily want to eat them every day!
We can cater to your requirements (vegetarian, vegan, etc.).
Nearby:
Summer activities: hiking, swimming, paragliding, summer skiing at Les Deux Alps and a treetop adventure park.
Winter activities: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski mountaineering, downhill skiing in the nearby resorts, swimming and paragliding.
Shops: the "Bar des Touristes" restaurant/bar/grocer's and the Gite du Sarret located in the main street in Besse.
