On the Tour de France route
Starting from Uriage-les-Bains, a spa resort with typical 19th century spa town architecture, this route rises steadily along sweeping bends, to lead you to the resort of Chamrousse which overlooks Grenoble and its valley.
It passes through a wide variety of natural environments and landscapes, such as fields, pine forests and peat bogs, finishing at the foot of the high peaks of the Belledonne mountain range.
Starting from the Tourist Office, a heritage trail tells the story of the spa resort from Roman times to the present day. During the summer season, a large number of events take place in the magnificent setting of the spa centre.
