A nice pass in the heart of the area known as the “Four Mountains” at the heart of the Vercors Regional Natural Park. Did you know that the Vercors is named after a Celtic tribe living in the mountains at the time of the Roman invasion: the Vertacomicorii.
The start of your route is easy and enjoyable. The long road that crosses the plateau along the high limestone cliffs provides a wonderful view.
While riding up to the pass you can see the peaks of La Molière and its pastures, and the Sornin plateau overlooking the valley of Lans.
On the way back you can see the villages of Autrans and Méaudre, and stop at a cafe terrace to enjoy a nice cool drink.
