Combe Madame mountain pasture gîte

The Combe Madame mountain pasture gîte is a pretty little alpine refuge located in the commune of La Ferrière in the Belledonne mountain range. It is perched at an altitude of 1,784 metres in the heart of wild and unspoilt mountain scenery.

Getting there : In Allevard, take the D525a in the direction of La Ferrière. 500 meters from a lake, just before Fond-de-France, turn left, pass the gîte of La Martinette and park in the parking of La Martinette. Take the direct path that goes into the forest, in front of the car park, pass the first chalet (halfway), continue on the GR path along the creek from the left to the refuge of la Combe Madame (running time between 1:30 and 2:15).
Other possible routes to the refuge:
- from the Col du Glandon, by the Col de la Croix.
- from the refuge of Les Sept-Laux, by the Rocher Blanc or by the Col du Mouchillon (unmarked).
- from the refuge de l’Oule (unmarked).

Pour dormir à Combe Madame pensez à :
- votre drap-sac ou drap-house
- votre frontale
- un vêtement chaud, il peut faire frais le soir

- oreillers
- chaussons (crocs)
- de quoi passer une bonne soirée : jeux de société, magazines, bouquins et surtout de la bonne humeur !

En période non gardée :
huit matelas sont à disposition (pour une capacité de dortoir de 18 places) mais sans couvertures, un poêle et du bois (prévoir papier et allumettes).
L'électricité et l'eau à l'intérieur sont coupées pour la période hors gardiennage et source captée juste sous le refuge et torrent à 30m

Restauration :
le midi, laissez vous tenter par le burger "le Rocher Blanc", l'assiette du terroir, l'omelette ou encore le fameux crumble pommes-myrtilles. Tous les plats sont préparés à base de produits locaux et faits maison.
