"Wetlands" exhibition

Photo tourbire plateau Arselle Chamrousse

1 August 2022 au 28 August 2022

Exhibition on the theme of wetlands, at the Environment centre in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin. The peat bog of the Arselle plateau is the emblematic wetland of Chamrousse to protect and preserve.

The aim of the exhibition is to remind people of the importance of wetlands areas (peat bogs and marshes, natural and artificial water bodies, salty or brackish coastal environments, alluvial forests, etc. ) and their protection. As a reservoir of biodiversity, wetland can also store water during floods and gradually release it; they filter pollutants and capture carbon (to combat the greenhouse effect)...

Exhibition by the Médiathèque Départementale de l'Isère (MDI), in partnership with the Chamrousse library.
