Located at the foot of the Bastille, on the right bank of the Isère River, this district is without a doubt one of the most picturesque and distinctive of Grenoble.

Marked by the extraction of limestone, the production of cement, the glove factory's old activity and the Italian immigration, this district has a rich heritage, often unknown, that you will discover from the Porte de France to the Porte Saint Laurent (17th century) by walking up the quays and the Saint-Laurent street.
