Around Lac du Verney

This circular route around Lac du Verney, with enchanting scenery of the Eau d'Olle valley, starts in Allemond. Nestled between the Belledonne and Grandes Rousses massifs, the valley rises up to Col du Glandon and Col de la Croix de Fer.

Start at the intersection of the RD526 and the RD43. Take the RD526 for about 2 km towards Rochetaillée.
Before crossing the bridge over Romanche river, turn left towards Le Raffour and La Beurrière hamlets. Continue to climb and take the small road to Le Boulangeard.
Before the village of Oz-en-Oisans, descend Lac du Verney on the RD44a to join the RD526.
Turn right and follow signs to Le Rivier-d'Allemond and Col de la Croix de Fer where the route becomes significantly steeper.
Turn left towards the Le Villaret hamlet on the RD43.
An easy ride on the RD526 takes you back to Allemond.
